| 'Party Walls' are those which border one or more properties. Since 1st
September 1997, it has been a legal requirement to serve appropriate Notices upon an
Adjoining Owner when carrying out works which affect a neighbouring building. We
represent the interests of either the Building Owner (the person who is carrying out the
works to the party wall), or the Adjoining Owner (the person who is affected by the
works). It is possible for both parties to elect an Agreed Surveyor to act on their
behalf.
Schedules of Condition of the Adjoining Owner's property are taken, and upon completion
the building is checked to assess if damage has arisen.
